On the eve of Nintendo Switch 2's global launch (OK, technically it's already the 5th in some locations), there is one burning question we have for you, the Nintendo Life audience: Will you be buying a Nintendo Switch 2?
It's fair to say that Nintendo Switch 2 seems about the "safest" console Nintendo has ever produced, but with good reason — the Nintendo Switch was a huge success. We're keen to learn where you are at as we swiftly head into the launch period.

I'm not getting Cyberpunk day one, but for me that's a must buy, I can't wait to play that.
Got a pre order from Smyths
Roll on midnight....... 8 hours to go
I will be getting an SD card at some point but as I mainly only plan to use it for Nintendo 1st party games (not exclusively but mainly) I don't think I'll need one for a while.
256gb is plenty to be going along with
Am I sold? Not at all
As I did with the original, I'll get a second dock, power supply and travel case so that I can leave my main one in place. I don't think a spare dock is available in the UK yet though is it?
There should be an option for any and all decent sized Micro SD Express cards are sold out everywhere but I will get one some day.
Unless Nintendo releases a new 1080, I have no interest at the current price.
The anticipation now is astounding. Just knowing in the next day or two I’ll have one but not knowing exactly when lol.
Yep, even though I preordered mine on day 1 of Amazon availability, mine won't arrive until June 12th! 😭
At least I have one though!
@sketchturner Why are you here, then? It's been so long since the initial announcement, and you still can't give it a chance?
@OtterXPT Indeed. The fact you've got one, is all that matters at this point.
@AdolBannings-Laylee Not to mention, the millions of people around the world who'll be playing alongside you.
@TenEighty My fellow gamer, like I've said to many others, you're going to be missing out on a LOT of great games.
The whole game key card thing has left a bad taste in my mouth, and the price is a real kick in the teeth.
I'll get one eventually, but not any time soon.
Mine'll be here tomorrow with the GC controller. Mario Kart World will be downloading in the background while I fire up F-Zero GX and Soul Calibre 2. Fast Fusion and Hitman will be purchased before the weekend too.
As soon as it became possible.
Unfortunately my physical copy of mario kart world is delayed a day but everything else still seems on track.
No gamekeycards though.
That's the worst of both worlds and a practice i hope dies out soon.
Yup, preordered one, since april 3rd, the second I saw preorders were opened. Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow and play Mario Kart World online all day !! And also Split fiction with my gf using the old switch and GameShare !
Mine will ship on release day and I took some time off so I can have some special time with the thing. Gonna get hot and sweaty.
Yes, I pre-ordered the standard Switch 2 from Best Buy. I’ll be picking it up at midnight. I also ordered a 256GB memory card and the carrying case+screen protector.
Regarding games, I’ll be getting Mario Kart World and (hopefully) Cyberpunk 2077. I had also planned to get Rune Factory via the Switch 2 upgrade but the Switch 1 limited edition that I ordered has been delayed by like 2 weeks.
This is the first time I’ve ever picked up a gaming system at launch so I’m excited to see how the experience turns out.
I'd like to add as not part of the options, beer, snacks and some energy drinks to keep me going beyond 9pm. I stopped short in getting some balloons and celebration banners though.
Yes, I preordered, the Switch 2 Mario Kart bundle from GameStop. (April 24th)
No other games, accessories, or memory card until I have the system in my hands.
My order still says it's processing for shipment as of today (Wednesday). The money was taken out of my account last week. And I've been constantly checking for an update since then.
I would assume that the system would be shipped out today. If I have any chance of receiving it by tomorrow.
Edit: My order finally shipped out! Tracking says it will be delivered in 1-3 days. Saturday June 7th at the latest. No more stress. I feel better now.
Good luck to everyone else who preordered!
Mine should be here tomorrow, plus my GameCube controller. Just got my 512GB MicroSD Express card yesterday. Mario Kart World and Cyberpunk 2077 are my first two games, my next one will be DK Bonanza.
Going to Smyths tonight to pick mine up! My NeoGrip has been delivered today as well.
The OLED NeoGrip has made playing the Switch so much more comfortable, so I'm glad to see they made a Switch 2 version. It's also given me a general idea of the size of the Switch 2 as the Switch with grip on fits inside the Switch 2 grip!
Yep, preordered it along with most games (apart from the few I'm not getting yet or ever, there are a couple like Rune Factory which I had to get on Amazon at full price because the limited edition is available only there in Italy), the camera etc. discounted from my usual retailer - so looking forward to all that as soon as it arrives!
Yeah, Pre-ordered at Nintendo Germany.
But we have a red day i Sveden on Friday, so it seems I'm gonna have to wait to until monday before mine arrives.
Running to Walmart tomorrow, hopefully I can snag one!!
I pre-ordered in April through EE but have not received any emails at all from them since confirmation. I am getting pretty stressed as was expecting some kind of delivery notification by now. I will be proper miffed if they don't deliver tomorrow as promised.
Wow, that list of Day 1 games kinda makes me glad Target canceled my preorder, pretty lame. And no Welcome Tour or Drive X Drive on the list, are they not day 1?
My wife's company said they'd give her one, but it may not be until next year when they can find one. Hopefully sooner than that, but I don't think I even need to worry about it until Donkey Kong.
Hoping to preorder one at GameStop today after failing at every venture so far. I’m hopeful but also want to keep my expectations in check.
Edit: after over 3 hours of waiting for a pre-purchase then another hour at midnight I finally joined the Switch 2 club.
Order in Walmart still says placed. Don't know what's going on over there but they better hurry up.
@gojiguy don’t put the game key cards in your mouth.
@Zufolobelisk I'm here because I've been a Nintendo fan since the NES and have owned nearly every system they've ever released. I'm here because I still love my Switch and want to keep up with games releasing on that. I'm here because I hope that Switch 2 turns out better than it appears at launch.
But as it stands, Nintendo has yet to convince me that the price is worth it. There isn't a "must play" game (for my tastes) and the high prices and key card situation are not tempting.
I preordered one but I feel no excitement whatsoever for it. Feels like a pro release to me rather than a new gen. I preordered it out of fear of the price incase and because I wanted Mario kart. I’ve been playing over my mind the past weeks to keep it or not and now my order has been dispatched before I came to a decision. Now I’m going to wait for it to arrive, try Mario kart and then decide if I should sell it or keep it.
I preordered the MKW bundle at GameStop back in April along with a screen protector and DK Bananza. I also managed to preorder a 256 GB MicroSD Express card (because the Switch 2 would probably explode if I tried to transfer my Switch 1 data without it) and the GameStop I’m going to pick up my preorder from will have plenty of Switch 2 Pro Controllers for folks that want ‘em.
The one thing I’ m still iffy on is the case, I’m going to have to get one at some point but I’m flip-flopping on getting the all-in-one or a simple carry case.
Planning to hold off until revision hardware, barring some crazy Zelda announcement before then.
I’ve pre-ordered on Walmart and they’re finally preparing it to arrive by 10pm tomorrow. I THINK I can rest easier now…
I guess they took their time because it’s just going to be brought to me from my local Walmart. I still think they should’ve processed the payment sooner. It got irritating by yesterday.
I got just the MKW bundle and Welcome Tour. I have enough Switch games I never finished or even started that are enhanced for Switch 2 I am good until August.
Preaching to the choir. We are the true believers.
Dont think my local shop is open at midnight for this, so I will wait until lunch time and walk down there, hopefully the boat came in with it
I was almost sold when I watched the Switch 2 Direct, but my excitement quickly ended up being outweighed by the pricing of the console, games and SD cards. I'll get one eventually, probably when a more exciting colour variant is available, but I can live without it until the games start getting discounts.
Pre-ordered April 4th from Amazon UK but they are appalling, and mine not coming til the weekend at the earliest, yet Reddit full of people who ordered a week after me from Amazon and their S2 has shipped. Last time I rely on Amazon. gutted.
I did not pre order, but I do want one so I’ll get it eventually. I can hold off cause there are other games I need to attend to.
Did I get one yes, do I wish I would've waited yes.. for the Nintendo games at least & for the prices to become a bit more sensible.
No, did not order one. I will be getting one eventually, sure, but not until there are enough S2 exclusive games that interest me.
Mine’s all paid for and will be collecting after work tomorrow. Pro Controller, case and copy of MKW.
Been eyeballing more games but will wait and see for the moment. I know Donkey Kong and the Daemon x Machina sequel is not far off.
Biggest question is do I use the MKW code with my console or open up my physical copy? Prefer physical but Mario Kart is the game series I kind of always want to have available for impromptu races.
I'm going to be a later adopter. I'm perfectly content with my gaming situation now. Might just wait for the mid-gen refresh/upgrade
@rjejr Drag x Drive isn't a launch title, which I was very surprised about.
Getting more games eventually, but just starting out with Mario Kart World, besides, I have my Switch 1 library to play as well!
I did get a Switch 2 dockable case from Spigen as well!
@sketchturner same situation for me. Fan since NES. 1st Nintendo console I haven't pre-ordered for a long time. Game prices, game card situation, lack of innovation and the fact I know there will be a better version out by the time some more decent first party games are out mean I am in no rush with this one. Happy for everyone else who is excited tho!
Do you feel it. It feels as if thousands of Backlogs are criying out and falling silent.....
I'm not getting one at launch but i'm getting one as soon as i find one out in the wild.
Where’s the option for “I’m too poor due to rent, food, energy and essentials increasingly exponentially”?
@Jack_Goetz Hey thanks for the info, and the title correction. I guess they didn't want Drag X Drive to take away sales from Welcome Tour. 😂
Have my two Switch 2 PreOrders ready and going to go for Midnight pickup.
Yep will pick up during my lunch break tomorrow.
Got the extra power adaptor. This way can leave the dock plugged in.
@nessisonett Switch 2 will keep making inventory what are you ranting about? People been saying save up for Switch 2 so you mean you never tried to do that all this year or from last until this year knowing Switch 2 was coming??? Granted there are some in options beyond their control but those that can would do to save up or see what can be saved for just one Switch 2 purchase.
Gonna wait outside my local Costco tomorrow and get one. Mkw, gcn, madden 26, and maybe the new dk are the only games that interest me right now
i am one of the 10% not getting switch2 anytime soon until this key card mess is solved..
If I pick one up at launch, it will be the Mario Kart bundle to save 30 dollars on a title that would be, otherwise, overpriced
Nope nothing worth getting at the moment!
The switch still has some great titles coming and the switch 2 has reflectively nothing decent for the first year anyway.
So by the time it’s worth buying they will probably have a revision out with better battery and maybe screen. But more importantly they should have some monster hunter games on it by then too.
im getting mine tomorrow along with several games ive preorder for it after work since gamestop will have more stock during launch date.
I always like to wait a year before buying new hardware, theres more for me to play that way, and they can iron out some of the issues (Like the battery life issue on switch 1, and the cracking)
Switch 2 Mario Kart bundle pre-ordered from April 2nd. So excited!
Absolutely! preordered and excited! Could care less if games are game key cards. Don't understand the hate....not that big of a deal. But got to give things for people to complain about I guess!
Nintendo could curl out a big phat Richard the Third, pop a Nintendo logo and I would still overpay for it.
Well, my current Switch is still going relatively strong (barring a flaky battery meter issue and the joy-con drift issues at times). I want to see the real-world stories from Switch 2 users before I drop that much money on a new system. Add in the whole "not really a game on a cart" thing and I'm even more gun-shy about pulling the trigger. I'll likely get one eventually, but I'm not in a huge hurry to do so.
I didn’t preorder one. Firstly, game prices. Secondly, not enough first party titles I’m interested in. Games like Cyberpunk I’ve played on other consoles. And I’m not that interested in Switch 2 upgrades of existing games. Maybe once some other big games drop, like a new Mario title, I may be interested.
This will be the first console I don't get right away in a while. I loved the Direct, but the pricing (system + game + peripherals), primarily, has put me off for now. I'm sure I'll get one at some point but, like some others, I'll wait for a better price proposition first. If MP4 was only on Switch 2 it might be a different story, but as I can play the only game I care about on my current system I'm just fine for now.
The fact that Xbox games are verified to come to the system is also a massive feat for Nintendo!
@UsualNoise the pricing of the console is fine considering its way more powerful then the ps4 pro and slightly below ps5.
@Flangela Isn't that the truth
@Flangela
Have to say that probably sums up my position with Nintendo.
I am old. I am sold
Yes but I'm still waiting for it to dispatch. Get on that, My Nintendo Store!
@1UP_MARIO
Heey' rockin some John Cooper Clarke
If you've got one coming from Nintendo UK, Royal Mail tracking is now being updated!
My estimated delivery time is 10am - 2pm !!!!!!!!!
@sethfranum It’s June. Everything went up in April. I had £6 in my account the day before payday there. I haven’t actually bought a game with money in about 3 years, a year worth of PS Plus is the only way I get ‘new’ games unless I borrow from family or friends or get one for my birthday or something. Adult life!
@martynstuff Correction- it's dispatched. Thanks Nintendo. You're a babe 😘
Cheers above for the update and yep it's all on it's way..... can't bloody wait 😀
I didn't pre-order it for various reasons. But am looking forward to the launch tomorrow regardless.
This will be the first Nintendo console I don't buy day one since the Super Nintendo. Not that there's anything wrong with it (I don't even mind the high price of admission), but games come out so frequently now and I have too little time to catch up on all the Switch 1 and PS5 games. I'd rather spend that money playing games on consoles I already have.
I have a preorder from Walmart arriving tomorrow! Ordered a screen protector from Amazon but not planning on any other accessories just yet. Will be grabbing Mario Kart of course
Very tempted but I can't really justify the cost right now.
Maybe if the promised call of duty games take advantage of the joycon mouse, I'll jump on board.
Preordered from Nintendo early doors with Mario Kart World bundled in. It's coming tomorrow morning.
I’m praying that it won’t rain tomorrow morning, because I plan on waiting outside Target from as early as 3 AM. Hopefully, they’ll have a Pro Controller as well. Also plan on seeing if GameStop has any screen protectors, because right now it seems like they’re the only ones selling stand-alone screen protectors (I’d get a carrying case, but $40 is a bit too much). What I hope for even more is that I’ll be able to pick up the MKW bundle; I don’t really want to buy an extra $30. Also plan on getting the Switch 2 edition of BOTW. I get my next paycheck soon, so I’ll probably get Sonic X Shadow Generations (I remember sucking at the Xbox 360 version, but I was like 7 back then, and I also remember that I loved it regardless). Will definitely get FF7R when that comes out, and I’m still hoping for a part of Tekken 8. Don’t need a memory card right now. I’ll wait till they lower in price.
I wonder if the sales will carry past the launch period. The Wii U sold fairly well at launch to the diehards but then dropped off a cliff. The Switch 2 doesn't have the marketing problem but there are many people put off by the price. And follow-ups never sell as well as the predecessors.
It's not like I'm not interested, I certainly am. However I kinda blew my gaming console budget recently, so right now I am mostly buying games instead of consoles. (Recently I've been picking up the Phineas and Ferb titles that I didn't already have.)
Target is still showing June 10th arrival "preparing to ship" unfortunately its been like this for a week
Nope, Nintendo gets Customer unfriendly, i will stay away.
Probably not ordering it anymore cause I’ve kinda lost interest in it, plus since the time I reserved I ended up getting a car after finally getting my license and I’m now having to make car payments that’ll take up most of my (small) paycheck. I’m prioritizing that and groceries over a console I’ve slowly lost interest in due to all of the price drama plus I have a huge backlog and a handheld better than the Switch for the games I care more about anyways.
@Azuris Smart choice. They’re being cocky again like they were with the Wii’s success.
@tobsesta99
Yep, Did you know Gaming had a nice Video about it recently.
Short, Nintendo had the most Success when selling older but innovative Tech.
I am sure it will sell pretty well, the Switch created a very big Customer Base distinct from the Wii, that often was more a "second Console".
But the Prices and Behavior will keep some Clients away (as me), there are just too many Alternatives out there nowadays.
Lets see how they keep the Momentum, or if they go the 3DS Way and have to go some Steps back.
I didn’t see this listed on here but as far as we cards go I thought I saw 2 tb cards on amazon for a little over 200. That’s very pricey but maybe I’ll wait until I actually need more storage and go for that when there’s a sale. I’d like at least a 1 tb but I don’t plan on buying much digitally on switch. I really am only interested in the physical for this platform but over time I may need that much as games aren’t getting any smaller these days.
I will stick with my current Switch until more games from Switch 1's library are being improved, specifically Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
The other reason why: The price is too high for me right now.
I tried getting one with my GameStop trade in credit but since you can’t save gift cards to your account, my order timed out in the cart due to server issues.
Thankfully, my brother was able to secure a second one for me. So I’ll be picking that up from him Thursday night or Friday (just depends when it’s delivered). I just wish I was able to use my gift card but I guess I’ll just use it on games for the next year or so.
@Zufolobelisk I don't know about that. My fav's are 1080, Wave Race, F-Zero and a couple others. Those haven't been remade in a while. Also, I haven't like the last few Mario or Zelda games. I'll stick with the Switch for now.
I pre-ordered my Switch 2 and got Cyberpunk 2077 and bravely default flying fairy. I'll be able to play it this Saturday as I'm at work tomorrow and Friday. So I'm looking forward to sinking some more hours in Cyberpunk come the weekend!! I can already see it being my most played game after XcX this year at least. I'm also looking forward to FF7 remake and I just hope they have a cross save feature, though I'm not expecting it!!
Nope another Nintendo console launch that just feels like an afterthought. The only other being wii u. But at least in this case I'm mildly interested in upgrading my switch. So maybe at some point down the line with the inevitable revision, I'll consider it
Most of what I play on my Switch are otomes and Arcade Archives, so I see no real need for a Switch 2 right now but will make the jump if/when those things start releasing mostly on Switch 2.
To be fair about my frustration with Walmart, Best Buy hasn’t said anything more about my Pro 2 controller from them, but I should start checking their site often too.
In contrast with retailers, Nintendo diligently processed my GameCube controller and that’s clearly on the way in transit right now!
@sketchturner I'm in the same boat.
Switch 2
Mario Kart
BotW
TotK
Screen protector
Dust cover
It comes tomorrow night with Mario Kart World and aSD Express Card will be follow on Saturday. Birdo will cruise again XD
Nah I'll just wait for next year or the year after. Until I see some worthwhile games that are actually on the cartridge and some 1tb microSD Express card on sale then I'll buy. I had no issue with the $450 console MSRP or the $70 or less price tag for the games.
Well, I would, but as soon as they come back in stock and I can click fast enough. So, probably not for another 3-4 months is what I expect.
I also preordered a Satisfye grip with case.
I'll wait for the eventual ambassador program price drop, a second iteration where they iron out all the launch bugs, more first party games, and I'll get the Switch 2 in a Lite portable only format, assuming game prices go down from completely unaffordable levels because $120 CAD for a video game is a tad ridiculous. I don't want or need any accessories or Game Chat, so hopefully they remove the Game Chat button from future iterations. I also might buy games used. This would really just function as a souped up Switch 1 for me. Nintendo has been very vague about upgrades to Switch 1 games so I'll have to see how those work as well. I could afford the Switch 2 day one, but I'd rather wait it out. I've learned many lessons from buying the Wii U at launch lmao.
All uk places where out could not get a look in had to pre-order from scalper on eBay had no choice.
Walmart kept saying my payment method wasn't working, I tried to fix it, but they cancelled my Switch 2 order, but processed my Pro Controller order (same card). Fortunately, I ordered a second Switch 2 from Best Buy at the same time and that one is processed and ready for pick up!
I'll get one. But I've had a lot of expenses lately and I don't see any reason to rush out to get a new version of Mario Kart. I can wait for it to be generally available and have more games/issues resolved.
In like Flynn! System is on its way towards me
Worryingly my card still hasn’t been charged by Nintendo. I assumed preordering with them back in early April would have meant I’d get the Switch 2 on launch day but it looks like that’s not the case. 😢
Roughly 2000 people, polled here but globally as this is a global website, have committed to buying this on/near launch day. That’s actually a pretty small number. So does that mean they won’t be selling out this system after all, or that Nintendo Life has a small audience? 🤔 or perhaps people are already in line at the stores and don’t have time to bother with being online?
Couldn't complete the survey as I'm not getting any games for the Switch 2. I bought it to use it with my Switch 1 library. Nothing else for now - not with these current game prices at least.
will be trying the nearby target tomorrow morning. One of my friends still works there and he said they got in a fair amount for the little foot traffic that store actually gets.
As for games, will try for Mario Kart bundle, but also getting Bravely Default and my Earth Dancer edition of Rune Factory is supposed to arrive on Friday.
I've got one due to arrive at some point tomorrow, also got a Gamecube controller and an SD card on the way. Only games I'm planning to get are Mario Kart (which is bundled with it) and Bravely Default, maaaaybe Street Fighter.
Nope and wont get one for a few years..Cant support what they are doing with the pricing at this point so now im have to boycott them for now..ill just stick to my series X for now
Congrats to everyone who wanted and managed to grab one.
I'm waiting for multiple reasons:
1. Battery life as bad as 2 hours is a deal-breaker. I'm hoping a V2 rectifies this.
2. Not enough games interest me at the moment and better performance for Switch games is not guaranteed.
3. That "orange" joycon color is awful. Hopefully, there will be more options in the future.
4. I think it is $50 too expensive.
5. Waiting for higher Express capacity and affordability.
No games I want that I can’t play elsewhere, lackluster backward compatibility… I’ll wait.
I Have it pre-ordered and paid off, and i am on vacation, so i will pick it up afterwards.
I did order one as soon as I was able but canceled it when I saw the whole Game Key Card crap and the fact that the Switch 2 may need a patch just to run. No thank you.
I stayed up a good few hours trying to pre-order one. It paid off though, and I'll be picking mine up here in just around 6 and a half hours. Going with Mario Kart for now, and going to play some of my backlog. Might end up preordering the new DK. The new Pokemon looks good too, but I might wait a little for that one
I'm not sold with Switch 2 at the moment.
Wake me up for White bundle, a new Animal Crossing game for Switch 2, more game card for 3rd party games.
The world isn't ending, but this mess of a pre-order system(like any that turns into a crap show) has killed my interest in even trying to get one atm, which I don't actually expect to be readily available for now.
I'm still hyped since my current Switch has...issues, but maybe by the time stock is actually steady, I'll decide to get one; dunno. Most of the games I want won't be out on launch anyways.
Ordered 2 of them. Both apparently being delivered tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how Switch 1 games run on Switch 2 as I’ve been saving many of those releases hoping for 30fps and better resolution. (E.g. Zelda EoW, Xenoblade X etc.)
Plus getting lost in Zelda BotW & TotK at 60fps. Will mostly just use Switch 1 pro controller. I don’t need the C button.
I've got a Mario KArt bundle for Day one and nothing else planned. I may peruse the eShop. I do also want a Pro Controller, but may wait a bit. Same for an SD card as I shouldn't need it right away.
Never got the chance for a pre-order since Nintendo never emailed me. I live in a small midwestern college town, so I'm banking on getting one from the local Walmart when it opens at 6 AM. That most of the students are gone for the summer is my biggest source of hope
Still waiting on an email from nintendo. -.-
Got mine, doing a system transfer at this moment
I waited in line at GameStop and was able to reserve a Mario bundle YESS
Now I just need to buy the camera and find friends to GameChat with 🥹
I have a RTX 5080 rig and a modded Switch OLED. I don't need more for now, and especially don't need to go back to LCD. My house is OLED only since years and I plan to keep it that way.
Now, an OLED revision? I'll jump day 1 on it.
As an amendment to my previous post I finalized my preorder about an hour ago (which basically amounted to double-checking the order and paying off any leftover debt, “preordering” any accessories that you couldn’t order after the initial April preorder date, and being given final receipt with a numbered sticker that serves as spot in line and as a raffle ticket) without much fanfare but line for open purchase went AROUND the building that houses the GameStop I preordered at and a few other businesses. I’m 99% sure it’s reached a point where even getting a system isn’t a guarantee.
I was also able to preorder the Switch 2 Pro Controller, an all-in-one case, and verify the manufacturer of the MicroSD Express card that I preordered yesterda (it’s Samsung so I get that nice Super Mushroom-themed one).
@nessisonett hey, I hope things get better for you soon. Money troubles are so soul crushing. Sorry to hear you're having them.
I’m currently #21 out of about 30 people in line at my local Best Buy. As of right now they are telling us they should have enough for everyone in line. They don’t know how many bundles they have but I’m at least getting my system tonight.
You didn't have an option for me in the poll, which is "Yes, I'll definitely buy one at some point, but it may not be in 2025." It's not a maybe: I'm sure I'll get one eventually. But I will wait until there's a game I absolutely must play right away, or possibly a special edition console I really want. (Animal Crossing would work for either one, lol.)
Preordered from local store, already got everything but the console.
Hopefully it will arrive before weekend. Want to replay Zelda, try new NMS and Karts. And mooore….
Went and paid and pickup my two Switch 2 preorder and other stuff that I ordered with the Switch 2.
I stood in line at GameStop tonight for 4½ hours.
I consider myself lucky though, because I was early enough to be in the part of the line under a roof, as it was pouring rain.
I got the Mario Kart World bundle and the Samsung 256GB microSD Express card.
Can't wait for all the launch day game reviews to pour in so I can gobble them up! The number that I am interested in frightens me.
Oh yeah, I joked in line that I brought 2 credit cards...just in case. As it turned out, my first one was declined (I had looots of room on it, but I assume the charge was too high or something). Luckily, the 2nd card worked or I would have been panicked!
Nope, exclusive games first.
Nintendo Europe, as per usual, shipped it too late so now it won't arrive today, nor tomorrow... and since no deliveries on weekends and Monday is a holiday... I won't be getting mine until Tuesday next week!
Thanks Nintendo for the privilege of preordering from you, as a faithful customer per your own definition, and for NOT taking precautions to insure your devoted fans get their hard paid unit on launch day. Could have shipped it a bit earlier to make sure of that but no, we wouldn't want to take the risk of someone getting theirs even one day early, so let's take the risk that they get it 5 days late instead.
Well I didn’t expect to get one, but my wife decided to go to a Target 30m-45m before opening and they had plenty of them and got one of the Mario Kart bundles!
So apparently the lining up was not as bad as I would have expected — at least at this location.
Was able to lock one in on the Target restock. This is earliest I’ve ever gotten a console that wasn’t strictly a handheld.
preordered april 2nd from nintendo's website
still no switch 2
